چکیده

(1) Background: Understanding the diversity of communities arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) is basis for understanding ecological functions AMF. (2) Methods: The community and distribution AMF at different elevations in tropical montane rainforests Mt. Jianfenfling Diaoluo were explored using high-throughput sequencing technology. (3) Results: A total 283 operational taxonomic units (OTUs) identified from roots number unique OTUs was 173, accounting 61.13% discovered these rainforests. At altitudes, high turnovers observed, with maximum proportion between two altitudes being 45.16%, recorded a.s.l. 250 m 900 on Diaoluo. highest Sobs, Shannon Pielou indices appeared 650 For mountains, soil properties C, N C/N have significant impacts genera Scutellospora, Paraglomus unclassified Archaeosporaceae, while Glomus, Diversispora Acaulospora are significantly affected by P pH. It can be considered that altitude probably determines presence affecting edaphic properties. (4) Conclusions: There abundant associated China. Furthermore, a turnover found to exist mountains revealing diverse structures

Influence of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in sugarcane productivity under semiarid tropical agro ecosystem in India

Impact of Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) in sugarcane productivity was assessed through a field experiment from plant and ratoon sugarcane in Tamil Nadu, India. Control, 12.5 and 18.75 kg ha-1 of AMF along with 75% and 100% of phosphorous application were triedas treatments. 18.75 kg ha-1 AMF applied plots showed significant difference in germination percentage, tiller number, internode...

Flooding Greatly Affects the Diversity of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi Communities in the Roots of Wetland Plants

The communities of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) colonizing the roots of three mangrove species were characterized along a tidal gradient in a mangrove swamp. A fragment, designated SSU-ITS-LSU, including part of the small subunit (SSU), the entire internal transcribed spacer (ITS) and part of the large subunit (LSU) of rDNA from samples of AMF-colonized roots was amplified, cloned and seq...

When do arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi protect plant roots from pathogens?

Arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi are mainly thought to facilitate phosphorus uptake in plants, but they can also perform several other functions that are equally beneficial. Our recent study sheds light on the factors determining one such function, enhanced plant protection from root pathogens. Root infection by the fungal pathogen Fusarium oxysporum was determined by both plant susceptibility...

Prunus persica Crop Management Differentially Promotes Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi Diversity in a Tropical Agro-Ecosystem

Due to the important role of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) in ecosystem functioning, determination of the effect of management practices on the AMF diversity in agricultural soils is essential for the sustainability of these agro-ecosystems. The objective of this study was to compare the AMF diversity in Prunus persica roots under two types of fertilisation (inorganic, with or without manu...

Diversity of Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi and Their Roles in Ecosystems

Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) have mutualistic relationships with more than 80% of terrestrial plant species. This symbiotic relationship is ancient and would have had important roles in establishment of plants on land. Despite their abundance and wide range of relationship with plant species, AMF have shown low species diversity. However, molecular studies have suggested that diversity of...
